Terms of Use

A plain-language agreement for using Elixir in the United States.

Last updated: 14 September 2026

1. Agreement to the terms

By creating an account or using Elixir, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service. Elixir starts with a 14-day free trial; after the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription (see section 3). Prices are shown in USD. Applicable taxes may apply.

2. About the service

ELIXIR FINANCE LTD (Company no. 16938984), registered in England and Wales, offering the Elixir app to people in the United States.71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom

Elixir is a personal-finance app, offered on a subscription basis after a 14-day free trial: it helps you keep accounts, categorize transactions, plan budgets and analyze spending, including from read-only bank connections via Plaid and data you add manually. Elixir is not a bank; it is not a licensed financial institution and does not provide financial advice. The service is provided “as is”, without any warranties.

3. Subscriptions, billing and Harmony Credits

You choose monthly or annual at sign-up. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial with full Premium; nothing is charged until it ends. After the trial, monthly is $9.99 per month at the then-current list price. Annual list is $89.99 per year. While the Founding Member offer is open, annual is $49.99 per year and auto-renews at $49.99 until you cancel; that price is locked in for that product and is not raised. If you keep the subscription, it renews automatically until you cancel. Paid plans are billed by Apple or Google: cancel in the App Store or Google Play before the renewal date to avoid a charge. Harmony Credits are optional loyalty credits that can lower a later renewal (floors $4.99 monthly / $49.99 yearly). They do not stack on Founding Member, are not cash, and cannot be withdrawn or transferred. Prices are shown in the app and on this website.

4. Not financial advice

Elixir provides information, analytics and tools that help you understand your money better. This is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. The AI assistant's suggestions are informational and are not recommendations. Before making financial decisions, do your own research or consult a qualified professional.

5. User responsibility

You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and their consequences. You are responsible for keeping your account login credentials safe and for actions taken under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You agree to provide accurate information.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to cause harm: don't attempt to breach its security, don't perform mass data collection (scraping), don't reverse-engineer it and don't use Elixir to break the law. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these rules.

7. Availability and limitation of liability

We strive to keep the service running reliably, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you cannot waive under the consumer-protection laws of your U.S. state of residence. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, nor for decisions you make based on information shown in the service.

8. Account deletion and termination of access

You can stop using Elixir and delete your account at any time, directly in settings, in one tap. You may cancel a paid subscription at any time as described in section 3; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate access in the event of a breach of these Terms or upon discontinuation of the service.

9. Changes to the terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves and will update the date at the top of the page. By continuing to use Elixir after changes, you agree to the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, where ELIXIR FINANCE LTD is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the United States, nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under U.S. federal or state consumer-protection law that cannot be waived. You may bring a dispute in the courts of England and Wales or, if the law of your U.S. state of residence requires, in the courts of that state.
